【摘要】:Meltingpointisawaxpropertythatisofinteresttomostwaxconsumers.Itcanbeanindicationoftheperformancepropertiesofthewax.Dropmeltingpoint,TestMethodD127,isoftenusedtomeasurethemeltingcharacteristicsofpetrolatumsandotherhighviscositypetroleumwaxes.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthedropmeltingpointofpetroleumwax.Itisusedprimarilyforpetrolatumsandothermicrocrystallinewax.Note18212;AdditionalmethodsusedforpetroleumwaxesareTestMethodD87andTestMethodD938.Resultsobtainedmaydiffer,dependingonthemethodused.Forpharmaceuticalpetrolatum,TestMethodD127usuallyisused.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
