【摘要】:ThispartofISO5815specifiesdeterminationofthebiochemicaloxygendemand(BOD)ofwatersofundilutedsamples.Itisapplicabletoallwatershavingbiochemicaloxygendemandsgreaterthanorequalto0,5mg/lofoxygen(thelimitofdetermination)andnotexceeding6mg/lofoxygen.Theresultsobtainedaretheproductofacombinationofbiochemicalandchemicalreactions.Theydonothavetherigorousandunambiguouscharacterofthoseresultingfrom,forexample,asingle,well-defined,chemicalprocess.Nevertheless,theyprovideanindicationfromwhichthequalityofwaterscanbeestimated.Thetestcanbeinfluencedbythepresenceofvarioussubstances.Thosewhicharetoxictomicroorganisms,forexamplebactericides,toxicmetalsorfreechlorine,inhibitbiochemicaloxidation.Thepresenceofalgaeornitrifyingmicroorganismscanproduceartificiallyhighresults.Inthesesituationsamodificationofthemethodmaybenecessary.AnnexAdescribesalternativeincubationperiods.AnnexBdescribesproceduresformodificationofthemethodbyadditionofseedingmaterial,salts,inhibitionofnitrificationbyallylthiourea(ATU)addition,neutralization,homogenizationand/orfiltration.Thesemodificationsmaybefoundnecessaryforspecificevaluationsofthewaterqualityofreceivingwaters.AnnexCprovidesprecisiondata.
